Gender and Emancipation

Perspectives from 'East' and 'West'
How does gender shape our lives today? What connects politically active people from Syria and the United States, from Germany and Sudan? How can one work towards interconnections of emancipatory policies?

Students and scholars from Syria, Sudan, the United States and Germany  engaged in intensive debates on these and related issues over the course of six months. At the ICI Berlin, they presented the outcomes of their discussions, inviting the public to join their debate.
